The 2025 KX™65 is Kawasaki’s proven youth motocross machine, engineered to help aspiring racers build foundational skills and speed with confidence. Its responsive two-stroke power, manual clutch, and race-bred chassis give young riders the tools to learn proper technique and progress through competitive classes.

Engine and Performance

A liquid-cooled, 64cc two-stroke single with reed-valve induction delivers crisp, predictable power that’s easy to manage yet quick to reward precise throttle control. The six-speed, close-ratio transmission and manual multi-plate clutch teach proper gear selection and clutch modulation while keeping the engine in the powerband. Lightweight construction helps the KX65 accelerate quickly and change direction with minimal effort, supporting smooth corner exits and confident starts.

Chassis, Suspension, and Brakes

A robust steel frame provides the planted feel young riders need on rough tracks. Suspension is purpose-built for motocross, with a conventional telescopic front fork and Uni-Trak rear shock designed to absorb braking bumps, ruts, and jump landings. Front and rear hydraulic disc brakes offer consistent stopping performance and feedback. The 14-inch front and 12-inch rear wheel combination strikes the right balance of agility and stability for developing riders.

Ergonomics and Control

Slim KX bodywork and a narrow seat promote easy movement for body positioning through corners and over jumps. Youth-appropriate control placement and grippy footpegs support proper riding stance, while the familiar KX ergonomics help riders transition smoothly to larger KX models as they grow.
