The 2026 KX™450 is Kawasaki’s premier full-size motocross machine, engineered for riders who demand competitive holeshot performance, precise handling, and durability across motos and practice days. Drawing on Kawasaki’s factory racing development, it delivers race-ready power and control in a lightweight, track-focused package.

Performance

At the core is a 450cc-class four-stroke single tuned for strong, usable power from launch to the checkered flag. Throttle response and midrange drive are designed to help clear jumps and accelerate out of ruts with confidence. Recent KX450 models introduced selectable power delivery, traction management, and launch control via a handlebar-mounted switch, along with app-based tuning in select markets; availability and functionality may vary by region and model year.

Chassis and Suspension

A lightweight aluminum perimeter frame targets a responsive, balanced feel under braking, over whoops, and through deep ruts. Fully adjustable suspension—featuring an inverted coil-spring front fork and a linkage-equipped rear shock—supports precise setup for rider weight, track conditions, and pace.

Braking and Control

High-spec braking components provide consistent stopping power and feel over long motos. Slim bodywork, a flat seat profile, and race-ready controls are designed to help riders shift weight quickly and maintain line choice. Adjustable handlebar mounts and footpeg positions, a hallmark of recent KX models, allow ergonomic fine-tuning.
