Overview

The 2025 Ninja ZX-10RR ABS is Kawasaki’s track-homologated superbike, engineered for riders who demand race-ready performance in a street-legal package. It builds on the ZX-10R’s proven platform with RR-specific engine and chassis components designed to deliver sharper response, reduced rotating mass, and consistent performance during extended track sessions.

Engine and Drivetrain

At its core is a 998 cc inline four-cylinder with a finger-follower valve train and lightweight internal components developed for high-rpm stability and reduced inertia. The RR specification includes premium lightweight parts such as titanium connecting rods and race-focused pistons to enhance throttle response and enable a higher rev ceiling compared to the standard model. A close-ratio 6‑speed gearbox with an up/down quick shifter provides seamless full-throttle shifts, while the ram air intake and precise electronic throttle valves support strong mid- to top-end power delivery suitable for circuit riding.

Chassis, Suspension, and Brakes

An aluminum twin-spar frame pairs with high-spec Showa suspension for predictable feedback and adjustability, including a Balance Free Front Fork and a track-derived rear shock designed for stability under heavy braking and fast direction changes. Braking is handled by powerful Brembo monobloc calipers and large-diameter front discs for repeatable stopping performance. An Öhlins electronic steering damper helps maintain composure over uneven surfaces and through rapid transitions. The RR’s forged wheels reduce unsprung mass to improve turn-in and acceleration out of corners.

Aerodynamics and Ergonomics

Aerodynamic bodywork with integrated winglets increases front-end downforce at speed to enhance stability during hard braking and corner entry. A tall windscreen and compact, race-oriented rider triangle support an aggressive tuck on track while remaining manageable on the street. The single-seat configuration underscores the bike’s focus on performance and weight savings.

Electronics and Rider Aids

An IMU-informed electronics suite manages traction, wheelie control, power delivery, cornering management, and launch assistance. Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS) provides precise, sport-calibrated ABS intervention. Multiple riding and power modes allow quick adaptation to changing track and weather conditions, and a color TFT display presents critical data at a glance, including gear position and lap timing functions.
