2026 KLX®230SM ABS

Aperçu

The KLX®230SM ABS brings Kawasaki’s supermoto formula to the street with a compact, approachable package built for city riding and back‑road fun. Positioned in the KLX lineup under Supermoto, it takes the proven dual‑sport foundation of the KLX platform and adapts it for pavement with road‑focused suspension, 17‑inch wheels, and standard anti‑lock braking.

Engine and Performance

A fuel‑injected, air‑cooled single‑cylinder engine delivers easy, predictable power across the rev range, paired with a 6‑speed transmission for flexible gearing from stop‑and‑go traffic to faster stretches. The tractable character and electric start make everyday riding straightforward, whether you’re commuting or exploring new routes.

Supermoto Chassis and Brakes

Purpose‑built 17‑inch front and rear wheels wear road‑going tires for quick turn‑in and confident grip on asphalt. Suspension is tuned for pavement to provide responsive steering and composed handling, while petal‑style disc brakes offer consistent stopping performance. ABS comes standard to help manage braking on varied surfaces and in changing conditions.

Rider Interface and Comfort

An upright riding position, slim chassis, and low‑effort controls support rider confidence and maneuverability. A compact, multi‑function digital display keeps essential information clear at a glance, and the minimalist supermoto bodywork provides a clean, athletic look without unnecessary bulk.

Design Purpose

The KLX®230SM ABS is designed for riders who want the agility of a lightweight motorcycle with the style and stance of a supermoto. It suits urban environments, short commutes, and weekend canyon rides where quick handling and approachable performance matter more than outright speed.
